Compliance with Section 1 of the Combined Code on Corporate Governance

In the year to 28 March 2009 the Company has complied throughout with the provisions and applied the principles of the Combined Code issued by the Financial Reporting Council in June 2006 (the “Code”), which made minor changes to the Combined Code 2003.
